Hundreds of thousands of Muslim protesters took over the streets of Bangladesh’s capital, calling for the death penalty for bloggers who insult Islam. The city ground to a halt as demonstrators demanded the government change the law to punish blasphemers.
The supremacists gathered by the hundreds of thousands at Dhaka’s commercial hub on Friday night in protest over blasphemous bloggers who offend Muslims on social networks.
In a demonstration that lasted well into Saturday, they urged the government to introduce a new law with the provision of the death penalty for those who defame Islam.
As the protesters advanced they chanted: "God is great, hang the atheist bloggers!”"I've come here to fight for Islam. We won't allow any bloggers to blaspheme our religion and our beloved Prophet Mohammed," Shahidul Islam, an imam at a mosque outside Dhaka who walked 20km, told AAP. (more here)

It was the latest protest to rack Bangladesh, deepening tensions between secularists and the largest Islamic party, Jamaat-e-Islami, whose leaders are under trial for crimes committed during the country's 1971 war of independence.
The Islamists converged on Dhaka's main commercial hub to protest against what they said were blasphemous writings by atheist bloggers, shouting "God is great — hang the atheist bloggers".
They defied a pro-government national strike by secular protesters — who staged a smaller rival protest in Dhaka on Saturday — aimed at foiling the Islamists' march.
"Around 200,000 people attended the rally," Dhaka's deputy police commissioner Sheikh Nazmul Alam told AFP, while protest organisers put the number at over half a million.
Authorities told AFP, meanwhile, two activists of the ruling secular Awami League had died in the last 24 hours in clashes with Islamist demonstrators, bringing to 96 the number killed in violence linked to the war crimes trials.
Protest organisers called Saturday's rally the "long march". Many began travelling by foot on Friday from remote villages to Dhaka's Motijheel area that became a sea of white skull caps and robes.
"I've come here to fight for Islam. We won't allow any bloggers to blaspheme our religion and our beloved Prophet Mohammed," said Shahidul Islam, an imam at a mosque outside Dhaka who walked 20 kilometres (13 miles).
Hefajat-e-Islam, an Islamic group supported by tens of thousands of seminaries, organised the rally in support of its 13-point demand that included enactment of a blasphemy law to execute atheist bloggers.
There has been vociferous debate between staunch atheists and fundamentalists in Bangladesh's social media for years, but it took a deadly turn in February when an anti-Islam blogger was murdered.
Earlier in the week, four online writers were arrested on charges of hurting Islamic religious sentiments in a country where 90 percent of people are Muslims.
Following recent protests over the war crimes tribunal, the government has blocked a dozen websites and blogs to stem the unrest. It has also set up a panel, which includes intelligence chiefs, to monitor blasphemy on social media.
Under the country's cyber laws, a blogger or Internet writer can face up to ten years in jail for defaming a religion.
Dhaka was virtually cut off from the rest of the country from Friday afternoon when secularists called a 22-hour nationwide strike to obstruct the march and private transport operators halted services fearing violence.
Islamists who could not take part in the march staged rallies in cities and towns across the country, with some 7,000 taking part in a protest in the port city of Chittagong, local police officer Nazrul Islam told AFP.
Two Jamaat leaders have already been convicted by the tribunal which critics accuse of fabricating charges as part of a government bid to settle political scores, rather than to deliver justice.
The government says the trials are needed to heal the wounds of the 1971 war in which it says three million people were killed. Independent estimates put the death toll at between 300,000 and 500,000.

Basic Islam–message of the Qur’an clarified by the sunnah (in brief, traditions) of their prophet.
For that reason and numerous others, I call for all freedom loving human beings to call for the outlawing of the practicing of Islam. Do that, or fess up to what you sign off on, which would include the fruition of the cries of the Muslims featured in the article in focus herein.

I have to agree,islam is an ideology that should be outlawed.Has nothing to do with religion. It is a sickness born about from inbreeding,(the first cousin marriage thing)After a couple thousand years of doing that practice you have millions upon millions of people with severe genetic damage and they call it islam !!! This mass demonstration really should be in the MSM. People in the West need to know how intolerant, hateful and dangerous Islam is. This is essentially a declaration of war against views that differ from Islamic dogma. That was 100,000 muslims and yet we have millions of them living in the West-wanna bet they hold the exact same views?
Our enemies have the advantage here-we don’t see them as enemies (due to our ignorance, cowardice and political correctness) but they definitely see us that way and have every intention to defeat us.
Instead of waging direct warfare, their jihad will be like Mohammad Merah, individual jihadists or a small group murdering dozens of non-muslims, while the moderate muslims will be placating us and telling us it’s racist to tar the muslim community with the same brush, though they’ll do nothing about the terrorists their communities create. The effect will be the same as a direct military conflict but less casualties for the muslims.
Eventually we’ll have more Anders Breveiks taking revenge, but it won’t be enough and muslims will continue to terrorize and kill us, as they grow their numbers till they reach the tipping point, where we won’t even be able to fight back because they’ll have state power and we’ll be outnumbered.
It’s cathartic to imagine destroying our enemies-I’d be happy to see B-52s or drones carpet bomb these disgusting 7th century psychotic savages and bullies, but meaningless if no real action is taken to defeat Islam. For Bangladeshi non-muslims, they are the capybara and muslims are the anaconda that will slowly consume them, unless they’re ready to go to war and perhaps have the backing of India or the West. It’s a wake-up call for us as well.

As stated before, the only real reason the these Islamists want death to thoses bloggers is because the foundations and doctrines of Islam are so weak that Islam can’t uphold to or stand up to criticism.

The practice of Islam is not limited to Salat, Zakat, Saum & Hajj; it includes genocidal imperialism: Jihad. I refer doubters, dissenters & deniers to 2:85. It is not possible for free men to tolerate the propagation of the belief that Muslims have a divine mandate to conquer the entire world and impose Shari’ah upon us by force. The idea that our blood and property are not sacred to Muslims can not be tolerated. The idea that we must be killed because we contradict Moe can not be tolerated.
ICERD, ICCPR & CCPPG contain provisions which would, if enforced, proscribe Islam by law. We must rise up as one with a loud voice disrespectfully and contumaciously demanding their enforcement against Islam!!!

Indeed. Study it. Note what the basics of it are.
Then decide, are you cool with all in that being what your children are exposed to; If you are childless, then are you cool with what your animals are thus exposed to (with Islam in high gear here) ?
Should you be both childless and animal-less, then, if a mosque were erected on the property next to you, or down the road from you, if you knew what the basic tenets of Islam are, would you be at peace with such if you were non-Muslim?
If you answer anyone of those “Negative,” then join the ranks of those calling for the practice of Islam to be outlawed in this nation.

Since September 30, 530 people have signed the petition, emailing it to Congress. Each of those emails includes a link to a pdf file containing evidence of Islam’s egregiou violation of international human rights covenants which could, if someone had the balls to do it, be enforced in the world court.
We need to get that information in front of the eyes of more members of the House of Representatives and Senate. So, we need to expose more citizens, particularly the activists, to the petition. We need to make it go viral.
