INCREDIBLE: Freedom Protests Spread Across Iran, “We don’t want an Islamic Republic” “Death to Rouhani” “Long Live Reza Shah” #FreeIran

52

This is a historic moment. Thank heaven we have a President who stands for freedom and individual rights. Thanks to Obama, the Iranian people who marched for freedom were routed, raped, defeated en masse. Seven more years of crushing oppression followed. I believe the election of President Trump empowered the people.

Amir Taheri said, “A remarkable feature of current situation in Iran is that more and more security units refuse to attack protesters as they did in 2009. This may change but feeling at the moment is that mullahs might find it hard to persuade their gunmen to kill unarmed protesters as before.”

Moments ago, the people of city of Rasht besieged the Islamic Republic’s repressive forces (thanks to Amil Imani):

Story continues below advertisement

“We don’t want an Islamic Republic” and “Death to Rouhani” chanted today in Qom.

If the people rise up, Trump will stand them. This is history.

“Protesters in Iran chant ‘Reza Shah, Bless Your Soul’ – referring to Reza Shah the Great, the founder of the Pahlavi dynasty, the nemesis of the clerics, the modernizer of Iran,” Potkin Azarmehr

Street Protests In Iran, Dozens Reportedly Arrested

Radio Farda, December 29, 2017:

Thousands of people poured into the streets in the northeastern city of Mashhad on Thursday protesting rising prices and the general failure of the Islamic Republic in creating jobs, fighting corruption and providing a minimal degree of welfare.

Thanks to social media hundreds of video clips and photos were posted online of angry protesters chanting anti-government slogans.

“Death to the dictator”, “Death to [Hassan] Rouhani”, “Don’t be afraid, we are together”, “Not Gaza, nor Lebanon, my life for Iran” were reportedly among the slogans.

During the street protests in 2009, “Death to the dictator” was generally perceived as directed at Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

There have been many single-issue protests recently in Iran, but this latest outburst in Mashhad were more reminiscent of the anti-regime protests of eight years ago than workers strikes or smaller gatherings of cheated bank depositors.

According to some opposition sources hundreds of people were detained by security forces during the demonstrations, but an official of Mashhad’s prosecutor’s office put the number of at 52.

Security forces used water cannons and teargas to confront and disperse the crowds, which led to clashes and injuries.

In addition to Mashhad, there were smaller protests in a few other cities including Birjand, Kashmar, Noushahr, Neyshabour and Yazd.

In some of the clips posted on social media, demonstrators are heard chanting slogans lauding the pre-revolution era.

“Long live Reza Shah”, a reference to the first Pahlavi king who is deemed as the architect of modern Iran. Reza Shah was also well-known for his secular politics. Another slogan was “Iran haphazard, without the Shah”, apparently referring to the late king of Iran, Mohammadreza Shah Pahlavi, who was forced into exile in 1979 giving way to the the rise of a theocracy in Iran.

Mashhad is the second most populous city in Iran after the capital city Tehran. It is also home to the holiest site in Iran, the shrine of Imam Reza, the eighth Shi’ia Imam.

This is a situation in which the US should tread carefully. In 1956, when the Soviet tanks moved into Budapest, Hungarians yearning for freedom, who believed they were encouraged to rise up against their Russian masters, were bitterly angry with the US for its “betrayal” of the cause of freedom.

It would be wrong for the US to encourage an uprising against the mullah sunless it was willing to go to the mat on this.

The flower lover (: )) is quite correct and in fact not a few see this as a re-enactment of the Turkish “coup” designed solely to bring out potential rebels and to destroy them. When the citizenry is unarmed and facing leaders who have no compunctions about gaoling(see the west) or killing (see muslim countries) it is quite apparent that the people have NO say in how any country is run and that democracy as we knew it is dying if not dead already. This is the MAIN reason to defend the US’s 2nd amendment and violently if necessary.

Once freed they will have to have many thousands of group executions to avoid another violent Islamic coup, potentially tens of thousands executed or more.

Right on Aria. Theocratic governments are the absolute exception to good governing. the religions have enough trouble managing their respective flocks of faithful. They are not divinely inspired to be able to manage what is required of good government. Iran is being managed by a totally military society, beholden to a religious leader who falsely believes that he is divinely inspired. The evidence must be becoming clear to the people of Iran, who recognize that the religious powers that run their country are totally failing these once proud people, and I hope they can continue to move this country to a secular democratic society. The U.S. must do everything that they can do to support this movement. If Iran can be removed from the Islamic radical thinking that prevails there, maybe there is hope for some settling of peace in the middle east. All free world nations should lend whatever support they can to this potential movement, and hope that it continues to take off and result in a non-theocratic secular takeover of the governing of Iran. It will be a terribly hard road and those in power will commit all kinds of deplorable acts to keep their power and control. We can only hope that these protestors are successful to whatever extent possible..

Is this going to be like the orchestrated performance in turkey where a few delegated protesters are shot in the name of the glorious islamic republic? Very suspicions of any muslims intentions, taqiyya and all that.

Yes it does seem too good to be true . But we can hope! Let’s wait and see what happened when the revolutionary guards arrive as they WILL shoot. Then will the crowd attack them or run?

They claim to want regime change, and others are claiming they are more modern and enlightened. But their battle cry is still “Death to….” as the means of moving forward. I wouldn’t trust any of them an inch.

The Turkey did not involve protesting crowds, but rather a military coup or “coup”. A revolution in Iran has been long expected as there are many younger people who do not share the beliefs and values of the controlling regime – rather like in UKistan actually.

Gotta LOVE THIS. Imagine if all across Iran all the Mullahs and their hardcore supporters were found HANGING off light poles, like tomorrow.

The Mullahs who caused so much pain, suffering and death are met with the same fate they put on people?? That would make me insanely happy. 😉

Compare and contrast the differences between the situations in North Korea and Iran. The government’s are hell bent on squandering their money, the money Clinton gave NK and Obhammud gave Iran, to the detriment of their citizens. The Iranians are about to revolt while the Koreans keep their mouths shut and starve to death in many cases, with only an occasional defector.

The other huge difference is President Trump calling the shots.

A week ago I was on a flight from Egypt to Netherlands. Besides me was a Iranian man sitting who was telling me about Iran before 1979 How women and men were equal and enjoyed freedoms we westerners have. He told me he did vote for Geert Wilders because he saw how this mass migration from Syria and African countries were changing Europe in to a hell. His exact words; ¨that no muslim from third world countries could appreciate nor handle the freedoms we westerners find so normal. He was convinced that these muslim people would demolish our freedoms in a matter of years.
I thanked him for so much courage and sharp view about his (former) religion… We wished each other a merry Christmas.

This is not the Arab Spring which had it’s flames fanned by Obama, Cong. Gwen Moore (D) and the infamous SEIU. This is more spontanious against an Islamic tyranny. Just as the Shar was overthrown this too is possible again, in reverse becuse the people are not afraid. Only a third of American colonists supported fighting the British during our War of Independence. The Iraninas now have America and Israel’s back.

A strange thing happened to me during the week before Christmas, I found myself sitting by the seaside of my home town chatting about difficult subjects to a slim very pretty woman {about 30} from Iran, to my surprise, she was a qualified chemical engineer visiting her aunt and family in Worthing. I think she was seeking work in the area.

She was dressed warmly against the chilly wind off the sea but as a western woman would be, her English was perfect as you would expect as my Farsi is non existent. I talked about a middle aged Iranian man I’d met some 60 miles away running an Iranian restaurant who was a refugee from the regime and wished to go back if he could, she agreed but then surprised me later by correcting my impression all young women there were just “breeding machines” for Allah, she said no, now it’s usually one child maximum per woman because the educated young have had it with the Mullahs.

It’s over 40 years now since colleges around me in the south of England providing higher and technical education were filled by young Iranians sent in their tens of thousands to England by the Shah for a western education, it seems they’re showing where they wish to be once again, a democratic advanced more liberal society that separates Mosque and state and values its young people, especially young women. Let’s see where this all leads.

While an undergrad, there was a reza phalavi in my engineering classes – he constantly attempted to have others do his work for him and even pay for others to take exams for him – this is a rather large university with 300 people taking exams in one seating area. I carried him for a while until the final exam wherein I called him out and the exam proctor removed him from the exam – Remember me Reza – your were filth then with your “you owe me attitude” – if this is the best Iran can rely upon, no wonder they call it the 3rd world
